The Communications Intern will work at LaAmistad at Peachtree Presbyterian and at designated events
and activities as identified by the Communications Manager.

The Communications Intern will assist with all aspects of executing digital communications and public
relations for all development and programming operations related to LaAmistad under the direction of the
Communications Manager. This would include working on event planning, digital fundraising, social
media, email marketing, and more! Candidates will be expected to work about 10-15 hours per week as
needed. These hours are flexible but will occur between Monday-Friday between 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
● Create and update email lists
● Assist with developing social media materials
● Lots of brainstorming
● Write news and feature stories for distribution
● Manage and organize file library
● Research and develop social media content
● Assist with media analytics and reporting

● A skilled writer that understands writing for different audiences
● Meticulous attention to detail
● Positive attitude, and a desire to explore a career in communications and social media
● Demonstrate knowledge of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube
Snapchat, TikTok, and LinkedIn
● Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
● Loves digging into research
● Must have a Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
● You read the news every day
● Reliable transportation with proof of valid driver’s license and insurance

*Internships are available for current high school and college students, graduate students, and graduates
less than 2 years post-graduation. Course credit is available if the student submits the appropriate
materials to the Associate Director.
