Instructing students in the swimming pool
Including organizing and directing a 45 minute lesson for 10-15 swimmers
Be knowledgeable of the swim lesson levels of achievement and the goals for the level at which you are instructing
Adapt your lesson, as needed, to the needs of the swimmers at the time
Be open and responsive to instructions from the Program Directors and make changes to your lesson as needed
Position Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):
Ability to work well with children in managing and organizing them to accomplish a task
Ability to be flexible, resourceful, and adapt to a variety of skill levels and learning styles
Must be knowledgeable of basic strokes and stroke techniques
At least 16 years of age
